VICTORIA MOBILE CLINIC

Our Mobile Clinic initiative is a proactive, ambitious, and innovative approach to tackling the health disparities faced by vulnerable communities across Victoria and other states. This is a long-term project we hope to have running for the foreseeable future.

Our outreach missions have shown us that communities suffer from a lack of access to essential healthcare services due to long distances from clinics, lack of transportation, and prolonged wait times. This issue has been exacerbated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mobile clinic reduces these barriers to healthcare services as they can be tailored for specific needs, located within communities, and readily available for the most vulnerable - including rural, refugee, homeless, and aged communities.

Our Mobile Clinic will be used to:

  • Provide quality, accessible, and free health services to vulnerable communities across Australia, including:

    • Medical examinations

    • Pathology

    • Long-term care plans

    • Physiotherapy

    • Speech Pathology

    • Psychology

    • Vaccinations

  • Deliver medication, equipment, and resources to remote and rural communities.

  • Reduce stress on Hospital Emergency Departments.

  • Respond to natural disasters.

  • Adapt to other current and future health needs of Victorians.

This initiative will be the first of its kind in Victoria. We are hiring an experienced volunteer team of healthcare professionals to operate our Mobile Clinic. The Clinic will be set up in the same locations on a weekly or fortnightly basis to ensure continuity of care. On each occasion, at least two General Practitioners, one Psychologist, one Nurse, and one Administration Officer will operate the clinic. Other healthcare professionals, such as Dentists, Cardiologists, and optometrists, will attend on a case-based basis depending on community needs. To maximise our impact, we work with local governments and organisations, communities, and other charities to prioritise areas with the highest need. We also utilise an evidence-based approach and will conduct studies to improve the impact of our Clinic. Our Mobile Clinic is vital to supporting these communities and meeting our vision of a world where quality healthcare is available to everyone, everywhere.

We are currently open to sponsorship and partnership opportunities for the Mobile Clinic. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about us or this project.
